Human Rights are not the result of a religion, or of Christian faith, but the fundamental basis of religion; it is a religious consciousness that was given initially to human beings. The emergence of human rights shows that people from all cultures all over the world can agree to humanistic beliefs like an inherent dignity to which every human being is entitled. This contribution attempts the mediation of the universality of human rights with the particularity of religious traditions. |
