Die vorliegende Publikation untersucht vor diesem Hintergrund die besonderen Facetten des Islambildes und die Wahrnehmung der Muslime hierzulande. Die Autoren Kai Hafez und Sabrina Schmidt setzen sich intensiv mit dem Einfluss von Stereotypen auseinander und analysieren die Entstehungsursachen der verbreiteten Islamfeindlichkeit. Dabei gehen sie auch dem Zusammenhang zwischen politischer Einstellung, sozialem Hintergrund sowie persönlichen Kontakten und dem Islambild nach.
