| Zusammenfassung: | This study analyses and discusses new publications on the location of Tarshish. We consider that all of such publications have an essential weak point, in the sense that they do not indicate everything that is defined in biblical texts. When referring to trade goods with Tarshish, metals, specially silver, must not only be referred to, given that other goods were also of this trade. Therefore, not only do places that are linked to minerals have to be found, but also places that coincide with all the goods that the biblical texts mention. Cette étude analyse et met en question les nouvelles publications sur la localisation de Tarshish. Nous considérons que celles-ci présentent toutes un point faible très important, à savoir qu’elles ne mettent pas en évidence la totalité de ce qui apparaît dans les textes bibliques. En ce qui concerne les produits spécifiques du commerce avec Tarshish, il ne faut pas simplement faire référence aux métaux, notamment à l’argent, car d’autres produits faisaient aussi l’objet de ce commerce. Ainsi donc, il ne s’agit pas simplement de chercher des endroits associés aux minerais, mais aussi des endroits qui simultanément soient en accord avec toutes les marchandises citées dans les textes bibliques. |
